Sports Turf Installation
Sports turf could be installed in two ways:
With Double Sided Tape: Cutting turf to size and laying them down and put double sided carpet tape under seams and edges. The use of double-sided tape effectively prevents the sports turf from shifting when you roll or move equipment on top of them. This way of installation recommended for medium duty usage such as home gyms with equipment movement or small commercial gyms. If heavy sleds pushed on the turf it might shift the turf over time. For securing sports turf, it's advisable to use acrylic double-sided tape that is 1 to 2 inches wide. You can find this type of tape at Home Depot or flooring stores.
Required Tools & Materials:
Tape measure
Metal straight edge/Drywall T-square/Framing square
Utility knife/Box cutter
Marking pens or chalk

With Glue: Cutting sports turf to size and laying them down and trowel glue under the mats. This approach permanently adheres the sports turf to the floor, making it suitable for heavy-duty usage, such as in commercial gyms with heavy sled pushed on top. For this purpose, it's recommended to use polyurethane glue or Roberts 3095 carpet glue, which you can typically find at Home Depot or flooring stores. This type of glue provides a strong and lasting bond, ensuring that the turf remain securely in place even under significant stress.
